In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pym is still the original Ant-Man, but he served as an operative for S.H.I.E.L.D. in the 1980s, and already retired, he recruits thief Scott Lang, who becomes his successor as the new Ant-Man. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father.
