Isiah Lord Thomas III (born April 30, 1961) is an American former professional basketball player, coach, and executive who is now an analyst for the NBA on TNT. He played his entire professional career for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Playing as a point guard, he was a 12-time All-Star, a member of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players of the Year, and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000.

He is considered one of the best point guards in NBA history.

After his playing career, he served as a member of the Toronto Raptors management team, a television commentator, a member of the Continental Basketball Association management team, and as a coach for the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. He then served as the men's basketball coach for the Florida International University (FIU) Panthers for three seasons, from 2009 to 2012.
